5 Best Natural Eye Makeup Remover - Natural oils

Our makeup is incomplete without eye makeup. We all love eye makeup which enhances our eyes beauty. Mostly, we are used two eye makeup   products in our daily routine of college or workplace is eyeliner and mascara. These two products have always been a big part of our routine.

Makeup products contains a lot of chemicals in it, for removing this we are using makeup removers. We need something that will take off our all makeup safely without harming our skin. But when I buy eye makeup remover from market, I checked the list of ingredients on the label of eye makeup remover that is not so good. These chemicals are- Ceteth-20, Trihydroxystearin, Sorbic Acid, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Mineral Oil, Isopropyl Palmitate, Polyethylene, Propylparaben, Vanillin, Titanium Dioxide.

These harmful and harsh chemicals I had putting on my lovely eyes. These products are not so cheap, makeup removal is essential so we are spends a lot of money on it. Our eyes are the most delicate part of our face and is easily prone to the dryness, wrinkles and dark circles.

So, what do you do with your eyes ?

I give you a simple tips for your beautiful skin. Avoid all these chemicals and processed products of any type and make safe product at your home with natural oils.

Natural oils are safe and harmless for our eyes, they provides nourishment and moisturisation to our sensitive eye skin. These natural and organic products save your money which you are used in costly commercial brands and also keep your skin strong, radiant, and healthy.

Before using these homemade eye makeup remover, follows these important steps.

First, sanitize or wash properly your hands with anti- bacterial soap. Always use clean and soft facial towel, you can also used facial wipes or clean cotton. Now starts with making natural eye makeup removers.

5 Best  Natural oils as a Eye makeup remover

Coconut oil

Whenever I am wearing eye makeup, I always used a coconut oil as a eye makeup remover.

Take a little amount of coconut oil in a bowl and dip your finger in it. It is solid at room temperature. Oil will start to melt quickly with the body temperature of your fingers. Rub your all fingers together and apply oil smoothly on your eyes. Now, rubbing the oil over the eye makeup on both the top and bottom lids. Makeup will take off with your fingers. Wipe it off with the cotton and repeat this process 2-3 times until your makeup is gone. When all your makeup cleans,  leave the oil for overnights.

Coconut oil is the most healthy and excellent eye makeup remover. It solubilizes and breaks up all substances even water-resistant substances also used in eye liner, eye shadow and mascara and helps to releasing them from our skin and the eye. It moisturizes your skin and make it smooth. Coconut oil is great for our skin.

Jojoba oil

Jojoba oil is  affordable and easily available in market to making it a very convenient choice as a eye makeup remover. It removes all and every trace of makeup without any irritation, and it provides moisture to  the delicate skin of your eyes. You can use the oil diluted or undiluted.

Take a few drops of jojoba oil to a cotton ball. Wipe this cotton ball over the eye makeup, use gentle pressure to remove eye liner, eye shadow and mascara. Leave the oil to soak it naturally to hydrate your skin. Than wipe you eyes with clean cotton. After removing your eye makeup, there is no need to wash the oil from your face. Leave it overnight.

Jojoba oil is a safe as a lotion or facial moisturizers. I have also try using jojoba oil  for a few month now, and my skin looks more smooth and more youthful than ever. This is excellent makeup remover, it helps in moisturisation and  hydration of skin. It soothes the dry skin, and make it smooth.

Olive oil

Olive oil is rich in vitamins, minerals and natural oil acids. It is also one of the most convenient oil for all skin types. It contains antioxidants which prevents aging, wrinkles and fine lines. It provides nourishment and moisturisation to your skin.

It also helps in maintaining skin elasticity, softness and keeping your skin toned. Olive oil contains vitamin E and A which helps skin cell to regenerates and rejuvenates your skin.

Take few drops of olive oil on cotton pad and gently wipe off all your eye makeup. You also do massaging if your makeup is too heavy. Than clean your makeup with clean  cotton and wash it with warm water. Repeat it 2-3 times if necessary.

You can also apply olive oil on your face, it will help you to stimulate the blood circulation and close your open skin pores.

Castor oil

Castor oil is an excellent oil for using as a eye makeup remover for your delicate eyes. It also helps encourage your eyelashes to grow  thicker and longer.

There is two method of using castor oil.
First, take 1-1 tbsp of castor oil and olive oil and mix it well. Apply this on you makeup with the cotton ball. Rub it smoothly and swipe off the all makeup.

Second, take 1/3 cup of Aloe Vera gel, 2 tbsp  Castor oil, mix it well. Apply this mixture on your eye and wipe off all makeup.

Aloe Vera gel is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. It helps in soothing to the skin and reduce puffiness around the eyes.

Castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid, which have anti-bacterial  and   Anti-fungal properties. It is also contains omega 9 fatty acids, which nourish you hair follicles and skin.

Almond Oil

Almond oil is one more in this list. Almond Oil is an all-natural oil derived from pressed almond seeds. Almond oil is a miracle oil,  it has all natural vitamins and minerals that is perfect for nourishing and reviving of all skin type. It is used as a moisture, cleaner or for massage.

You can use this oil same as the above oil used with cotton ball. It melts away your eye makeup with ease. After this, Wash your face with Luke warm water.

You can be applied almond oil (on clean face) underneath your eyes, which helps to reduce dark eye circles and enhance radiance of you skin. It also prevents aging, deeply clean your skin without clogging pores. It makes your skin soft and healthy.

How to create the deep nude lip (it's much easier than you think)

Yesterday I talked about my obsession with finding the perfect shade to pull off the deep nude look.  I had some prospects in mind including MAC's Verve and Photo.  I was even going to make a stop at the drug store to see what other options were available.  I imagined myself building a new collection of darker lip colors in hopes that eventually I would stumble upon the exact shade that worked perfectly.

Then I headed over to Youtube for some inspiration.  After sitting through several videos, I had an epiphany.  That perfect shade I'm looking for might already be in my makeup bag.

You see, many of the ladies created that dark nude look simply by filling their entire lip with their lip pencil.  This provides that monochromatic effect between your lip and your lip color.  Once filled you can choose to add a little bit of moisture by using your favorite lip balm.  I absolutely love Aquaphor to add a little moisture without going overboard on shine. Once I apply, I dab my lips with a paper towel to wipe off the excess.  And if you want a bit more color, you can add a tiny amount of your favorite gloss. Not too much because we want to the outcome to be matte.
MACs Chestnut works well if you are deeper skintoned. I also love Cork which isn't as deep as Chestnut. Now I'm on the lookout for a brown-mauvey lip pencil. On my to-do list is to check out NYX's lipliners.  Take a gander at the tutorial below to see how she created this deep neutral look.  On her lips she paired two pencils. Jordana's Rock and Rose and Jordana's Coco Loco.

Oh, one last thing, if you are going to experiment with this look, make sure to exfoliate your lips using a sugar scrub and drink lots of water to keep your lips soft and hydrated.

Beauty Obsession | The Deepest Nudes

wearing MAC Chestnut Lipstick
What girl doesn't love a nude lip?  I can't tell you how much I've invested in various lip colors in search of the perfect nude.  The problem with me is that I have two different colored lips.  When your top lip is darker than your bottom, lipstick can look perfect on one lip and ashy on the other.

I thought I was destined to having to compromise forever until now.  I've finally found the nude that works perfectly for me.  Nudes have now gone from pale neutrals to warm earth tones.  Not only does this look compliment every skin tone but it really enhanced the lip in a ultra flattering way.
wearing MAC Chestnut Lip Liner
I visited the MAC counter yesterday and found some great deep nude shades that I can easily apply without the need for liner to even things out.  I love how provides the full coverage of wearing lip color without being overly dramatic. It's pretty much the perfect everyday look.  Yesterday I tried and fell in love with MAC Verve lipstick and I'm definitely on the lookout for more.

Is anyone else loving this trend as much as I do?  Also, please be sure to leave recommendations of your favorite deep nudes.

The Makeup Show | NARS mini haul & The method to incredibly long lashes

Most weekends, I'm closed up in my office working on outstanding items from the week prior.  This weekend, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the MakeUp Show.  It's an amazing experience to be in a room with hundreds of professional makeup artists and beauty experts.  Not to mention the exposure to dozens of brands who are the heavy hitters in the makeup industry.

Every year, I visit the event in hopes of discovering new staples. It's were I first found and fell in love with Gleam Body Radiance and Grandelash MD.  Normally, I invest most of my time between grabbing new makeup brushes and loitering at the Makeup Forever booth.  This year,  I decided that I'd branch out of my comfort zone and get familiar with some new brands.

NARS Train Bleu + Palais Royal Velvet Lip Pencil
You guys remember when I grabbed the NARS Narsissist palatte?  Ever since then, I've been longing to try out others products from the line.  As expected the NARS booth was pretty packed.  I stood on the outskirts for a few moments before one of the NARS makeup artists walked by and said, "I love the color of your shirt."  I thanked her for the unexpected compliment.  Later, she returned and said, "would you mind if I put some blush on you?"  "Sure" I responded not knowing that she'd reach for this bright coral looking color called Exhibit A.   "It's inspired by the color of your shirt" she said as she applied the bright color to my cheeks.  I expected the worst but the color actually worked well on my skin tone.
From there she and I began to try one different lip colors to she what would work. The entire time she worked on my face, the only thing I could think about was how amazing her lashes were. Finally I had to ask "what do you use to get you lashes like that?"  "Grandelash!"  she responded.  "I'm wearing an $8.00 drugstore mascara, and I'm Asian, these lashes are because of Grandelash."  She went on to tell me her secret.  "You gotta use it twice a day [morning and night]"  I was instantly reminded of a conversation I had in 2013 with someone who also got amazing results by using it 2X a day.  Guess, what I did last night before bed?  You guessed, I reached for my Grandelash.

Currently Loving| Nars Narsissist

I'm the proud owner of numerous eye shadow palettes.  Once I lay my eyes on on a combination of eyeshadow colors that seem promising, I buy.  Part of the reason for the constant searching was that, deep down, I was still looking for that one palette that would make all of my dreams come true.  I thought that dream palette would be the LoracPro. In fact, when I walked into Sephora weeks ago, that was exactly what I planned on leaving with.  But fate stepped in, and when I learned the LoracPro wasn't available, I inquired about another palette that would suffice.
Nars Narsissist was my second option.  The moment I laid my eyes on it, I knew.  The perfect spectrum of neutral colors was exactly what I was looking for.  Little shimmer but not overwhelmingly so.  Best of all, this pallet contained a blend of matte and shimmer.  A quick swatch test validated that the colors were highly pigmented.

Not only am I in love with the colors but I equally appreciate the packaging.  The sturdy case is PERFECT. It's portable which makes it great for keeping in my bag and, wonderful for traveling. I wouldn't trust most of my other palettes in my purse for fear that something bad would happen.  But with Narsissist, my mind is completely at ease.

Lastly I love how I can use this palette for day or night. My only qualm is that one of the neutral colors don't have as high of a payoff as the others. But overall, I'm in love.  Heck, I'm not sure I even need the LoracPro anymore.

All That Glitters | The search for the perfect bronzer is over

For months, my radar was set to seek out bronzers, highlighters and similar products that promised to give me a beautiful glow.  For a while, I thought my search would last forever but, at last, I finally arrived at a place where I've discovered my life long favorites.

All I wanted was one product for my body and a perfect compliment for my face.  My hope was that I'd find something that would blend flawlessly into my skin, giving the appearance of a warm glow, rather than looking like someone sprinkled with fairy dust.
Pictured Above
1| Gleam Body Radiance-Deep Gold (liquid/lotion)
3| LORAC selfTANtalizer (liquid/lotion)
5| benefit Watt's Up (highlighter stick)
6| MAC Lustre Drops (liquid)
7| Giella eye m glam (loose powder)

At this moment, my hunger for glow-inducing products has been satisfied. Overall, I'm happy with my stash but some have far outperformed others and have become clear favorites.  If I had to give up all but three, I would happily hold on to my tube of gleam, the Lustre Drops and Giella eye m glam.

Gleam Body Radiance stands on it's own because it's the most perfect body shimmer product I've experienced.  It glides on like a lotion blending into my skin leaving behind a subtle layer of golden sheen.  I fell in love when I came across this product at The Make Up show.  The minute I tested it, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.  Although I paid a discounted price at the convention, you can find it for an even lower price here.

Watt's Up by benefit is frostier and not as bronzy as the others but the tube packaging makes it perfect for travel or carrying in my makeup bag.

LORAC's selfTANtalizer (lotion) smells yummy, but honestly, doesn't give the glow that I'm looking for.  The TANtalizer baked bronzer, on the other hand, is a pretty decent product.  I love that it also doubles as a beautiful golden eye shadow.

The newest addition to my team is Giella's eye m glam.  I was introduced to this product as "the product that Kim Kardashian's make up artist developed to create her perfect glow."  Of course I had to try it.  At $35.00, it's not the cheapest product around but, let me tell you.  I think it's my favorite.  The rose gold powder works on any skin tone and it ground so fine that it practically melts into my skin.  The tiny gold specs are indistinguishable leaving behind a flawless glow.  It works on my eyes, my lips, my skin, everywhere. The difference between eye m glam and MAC Lustre drops is this: Lustre drops have a yellow gold hue while Giella is more of a rose/pinkish gold. I prefer the rose gold for a more natural glow.

I wanted to post on this sooner but wasn't ready to do so until I found the best of the best.  My collection is complete and I'm ready to have the summer glow all year long.

*Watch promotional video to see gleam in action. Warning: You will be sold after seeing how perfect it is.  Notice how toned the legs look after gleam is applied.   I like the idea of having two shades, using one as a highlighter, and the other for an all over glow.

Thank you, Marc Jacobs, for making the best eyeliner pencil ever!!!!

For the past week I've been on a manhunt for the perfect eyeliner to use in my every day look.  My objective was to find an intense long lasting product that would exceed all of my expectations.

What makes this mission difficult is the fact that I have a couple of issues working against me.  First and foremost, I have hooded lids which make it extremely difficult to create the same look as others even when I use the same technique.  Because my eyelid droops, the longevity of my liner is at stake as the skin constantly rubs against it. Plus the fact that my eyelids tend to get oily only makes my situation even more dire.

If that weren't bad enough, I also have naturally dark lids which lessen the intensity of the color.  No matter how black the liner is, it still doesn't appear as bold on me as it would on others.  Determined that I would find my answer I sought out and purchased 3 products.  The first was from L'Oreal Paris (Lineur Intense).  It was good, but not good enough.  Then I visited my MAC store and pick up their liquid liner.  Again, I liked it but I had this nagging feeling, deep down, that something even better awaited me.

Finally, I walked into Sephora and asked some of the ladies for some help.  "I need high intensity and long lasting" I said, looking directly into the woman's eyes.  Immediately she nodded then quickly made her way through the shoppers as she went to fulfill my request.  Moments later, she returned with a small black/white box in hand.  "This is from the new Marc Jacobs collection" she stated. "It's the first ever gel pencil liner.  It's waterproof and the color payoff is insane!"

She took out the pencil and drew a line on my hand.  I liked the creamy texture and the boldness of the black color. The best part came when I tried wipe it off with my finger.  It wouldn't budge.  As a matter of fact, the swatch stayed in place until I walked to the bathroom later and proceeded to scrub my hand using soap, water and elbow grease. After I got home, I drew three little black lines on my hand using each of the three liners and tried rubbing them off with my fingertips.  The L'Oreal Instense came off so easily, it wasn't even funny. The MAC liner stayed on but was smudged to the point where the line was distorted.  My beloved Marc Jacobs Highliner gel-pencil stood firm.

(after hours of wear, smudging the liner with my finger tip and washing a small load of dishes)

This gel-pencil twists to expose more product.  Unlike other pencils with the twisty motion, it goes both ways.  Meaning I can twist counter clockwise to retract the pencil tip if necessary. Plus it also comes with this nifty little sharpener I can use to create a sharper point.  If I had to give this gel-pencil a "con" it would have to do with the size of the tip.  I really wish I could get as fine as a point as I do with my liquid liners.  But honestly, I'm not trippin' because this liner is so good that I'm just grateful to have it.  I later found out that Marc does have a liquid version in Blaquer which I will be picking up on my next trip to Sephora.

The first day after my purchase I experimented with my winged liner look and was so pleased with the results.  I stopped by the post office to ask a question and my mail carrier was like, "wow, you look different, I like it!"  I told him that I was experimenting with my makeup and thanked him for the compliment.  I've been having lots of fun experimenting ever since.

This liner is a bit pricey but I fully align with the saying that you get what you pay for.  To me this liner is definitely worth it's weight in gold and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to step their game up.  It seems like I'm not the only one loving this gel-pencil.
